Departments

Our organization operates through dedicated departments, each focused on delivering strategic
goals in trade, investment, capacity building, and innovation between Nigeria and Malaysia.

Trade & Export Promotion Department

The Trade & Export Promotion Department focuses on enhancing bilateral trade by connecting Nigerian exporters with Malaysian buyers and vice versa. It organizes trade expos, business forums, and matchmaking programs. This department offers support in market intelligence, product certification, customs compliance, and export documentation. By helping businesses navigate regional trade policies and market trends, it enables access to the ASEAN and ECOWAS markets. It also works closely with trade attaches, chambers of commerce, and trade promotion agencies to drive results.

Investment Relations & Facilitation Department

This department leads efforts to attract Malaysian investment into high-impact Nigerian sectors such as agriculture, oil & gas, real estate, ICT, and manufacturing. It provides end-to-end support to investors—from opportunity identification and feasibility guidance to regulatory compliance and aftercare services. The department organizes roadshows, roundtables, and private sector briefings to showcase investment-ready projects. It also collaborates with government agencies, free trade zones, and private investors to streamline market entry and sustain long-term investments.

E-Commerce & Digital Trade Department

The E-Commerce & Digital Trade Department drives Nigeria–Malaysia digital commerce through platforms like the Malaysia Traders Market (MTM). It helps businesses set up online storefronts, access international logistics solutions, and integrate secure digital payment systems. This department also promotes cross-border trade by supporting digital compliance, customs clearance, and supply chain optimization. It partners with fintech firms, logistics providers, and digital agencies to modernize small business operations, expand market reach, and foster digital inclusion across sectors.

Capacity Building & Human Capital Department

This department focuses on skills development and entrepreneurship by training Nigerian youth, SMEs, and professionals. It delivers technical and soft skills programs in collaboration with Malaysian training institutions and Nigerian agencies like SMEDAN. Programs include entrepreneurship bootcamps, vocational training, scholarship placements, and digital skills development. The goal is to boost human capital, promote job creation, and reduce unemployment by equipping individuals with the tools they need to thrive in local and international markets.

Women & Social Impact Department

The Women & Social Impact Department promotes inclusive growth by empowering women and underserved communities. It provides capacity-building programs, access to microfinance, mentorship, and startup grants tailored to women-led businesses. The department also advocates for gender-responsive trade policies and facilitates access to global markets for women entrepreneurs. Through collaboration with NGOs, development institutions, and social enterprises, it supports social innovation, rural development, and financial inclusion with long-lasting economic impact.

Strategic Partnerships & Policy Engagement Department

This department manages institutional relations, government engagement, and policy alignment across Nigeria and Malaysia. It plays a key role in drafting bilateral agreements, coordinating public–private partnerships (PPPs), and organizing high-level policy dialogues. It also supports regional integration efforts and promotes regulatory harmonization to ease cross-border trade and investment. The department works with government ministries, embassies, and regional economic communities to ensure all initiatives align with national development strategies and bilateral objectives.
